* If you are using Windows 2000 Service Pack 3/4 in Windows
2000, the list of TWAIN-compliant applications will not
appear in "Registered applications" in the
"Event on device" dialog box of the scanner. This is due
to a problem in Windows 2000 Service Pack 3/4.
  Try the following steps:

  1. Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
  2. Open "Scanners and Cameras" from the Control Panel.
  3. Select the desired scanner and click the "Properties"
     button.
  4. Select the "Events" tab.
  5. Select an event in the "Scanner events" list.
  6. In the "Send to this application" list, select only
     one TWAIN-compliant application.
  7. Click the OK button.
  8. Restart Windows 2000.

* When using the "FAX" menu.
If the image from Button Manager is not transmitted
correctly, please adjust the setting of paper size and or
  orientation in the PC-Fax driver.

* Pasting images into Microsoft Word
When a 300-dpi or higher image in TIFF format is pasted
into Microsoft Word, abnormal operation may result.
In this event, close Microsoft Word and rescan the image
using a lower resolution setting or BMP format.
